Hand made in Pennsylvania, USA, Primitiques’ wooden decor & furniture was created in 2005 by a husband and wife team, Bill and Beth Merryfield, in their Delaware County home. Soon, after doing their first trade show, they moved their production into a 1600’s Pennsylvania cotton mill, which is where they’ve been creating new, original, unique furniture, small wooden ware, and make-do upholstered pieces for over 12 years now. Primitiques’ furniture and smalls are either inspired by real antiques or unique designs, created by Beth and sometimes our customers. Primitiques’ makes all of their pieces one at a time, by hand, with great attention given to each piece! They even make their very own paint (and colors) used on their products.
We have a wide range of "finishes" -
- Primitiques' Original, early-look primitive finish, aged to look 100+ years old, dinged, dented and highly distressed.
- "High Country" is a more refined paint finish, texture is smooth, worn edges and spots, giving it a well-loved, prized heirloom look.
- Our Farmhouse-to-Beach finish has an "authentic farmhouse" look, aged white color paint over stain, making it truly look like an old and worn antique piece.
